I really enjoy creating avatars. It kind of reminds of coloring in a color book, only it's far more complicated. When trying to decide what image to use to create my second avatar, I stumbled across this photo with Keith Nichol, known for his hail mary reception against Wisconsin and for his leadership role on the team after giving up his spot as quarterback and becoming a wide receiver at the end of his sophomore season. After the Outback Bowl in Tampa, we went out to eat and he and his family just so happened to be sitting at the table behind us. We chatted with him for a while and my sister took this picture of the two of us. It was probably the best dinner ever.
For this avatar, I decided to give myself a new challenge and create a more realistic image, rather than a cartoon style. It definitely had its trying points, but after using the burn tool, smudge tool, and paintbrush tool, I created an avatar of Keith Nichol and I that I am very satisfied with.
